On Saturday 28 July 2018, Seapoint and 2* paddlers met at 09:30 at Sandown Castle in North Deal. With all best intentions and planning, the weather was not a beautiful calm July day as we had hoped. It was wet and windy and our original plan of lunch with the seals at the mouth of the River Stour was re-routed. We navigated the sea’s tides and waves on a 12 mile round trip. A testing paddle, let’s hope we have better luck next time.
