A wonderful instructor led trip starting in Odiham and paddling to the end of the Basingstoke Canal. The trip follows the canal along past 'St John’s Castle', where we will have a chance to get off and explore the castle 50m from the canal’s edge. Then continue paddling along the canal to Greywell Tunnel, special scientific interest for its bat colonies. We have the opportunity to get to the entrance of the tunnel itself. The trip then returns to the start point and is no more than 5 miles total.
This afternoon relaxed paddle is an ideal 'stop off', for paddlers returning from the Bath trip the previous day, as well as for anyone looking for a stand alone Spring Sunday afternoon paddle trip!
You will need your own paddlecraft, paddle and buoyancy aid along with Paddle UK membership for the river licence.
Own wet suits are required (we do not supply these). Please bring water with you and have your lunch before we set off.
This kayak trip is on moving water.
Suitable for intermediate paddlers aged 16 and over who have intermediate paddling expertise and known to the coaches at Seapoint.
Kayaks can be supplied by Seapoint or you can bring your own. Please let us know via the booking form.
