13 September Junior Intermediates Explore Award River Trip
This is a Paddle UK (British Canoeing) Explore Award Trip
9am - 3.30pm
Cost £40 (£30 for the trip on 13th September and £10 for 2 hour session on 29 August)
Attendees : By invitation only, selected by the centre coaches leading the award trip

Overview:
Sunday 13th September the 4 participants (with 2 coaches shadowing for safety) will paddle the river Stour from Fordwich - just east of Canterbury - to Grove Ferry.
The distance is about 5 miles and should take no longer than 3 hours.
There will be a 2 hour training session on Saturday 29th August 2-4pm which all participants must attend.
Transport and Timings:
09.00 Meet at Seapoint, load kayaks and equipment. Drive to Fordwich bridge, detailed directions to follow. The plan is for Kevin and Mark to carry kayaks, parents to transport paddlers.
10.00 Arrive Fordwich
11.00 Depart
14.00. Arrive Grove Ferry
14.30 Return to Folkestone
15.30 Arrive Folkestone
Minimum 3 paddlers required to be able run this course
Note; The Course is subject to appropriate conditions and may be cancelled or postponed if water or weather conditions are not deemed suitable by the coach on the day.

Our Centre is located on Prince’s Parade, and is in view of the seafront. If driving from Folkestone, turn left onto Prince’s Parade and Seapoint will be the second turning on your right, the car park is signposted. There is pay and display parking in the car park adjacent to the centre, metred parking is also available on Prince’s Parade.
