28 September 2024 PI Multi Craft Rescue Workshop
This is a 4 hour training course specifically designed for prospective Paddlesport Instructors to hone their multi craft rescue skills, from their chosen craft, prior to attending a PI Course. It will revisit some of the PSRC content but will focus on the 10 Rescues that have to be performed to pass the PI Award. Handy hints and tips for safe successful first-time rescues, to the standard required, will be delivered by a current Paddlesport Instructor Tutor. A fully practical and wet course so dress for the swim!
This training event is also a great opportunity for Paddlesport Instructors and Coaches to update & sharpen their skill set
to current standards and techniques. Minimum age: 14
This is a 4 hour course, 12pm - 4pm with a quick hot drink break
Paddlecraft: Kayaks, Canoes, Paddleboards (we supply the craft or you can bring your own)
The course takes place on The Royal Military Canal located between Hythe and Seabrook.
Minimum of 3 participants for the course to run.
Arrive at least 15 minutes before the session time to get kitted out.
It is a wet course so you will need to dress appropriately for the season: wetsuit or drysuit
Paddlers will need to bring own hot drinks

Note: Our Centre is located on Prince’s Parade, and is in view of the seafront. If driving from Folkestone, turn left onto Prince’s Parade and Seapoint will be the second turning on your right, the car park is signposted. There is pay and display parking in the carpark adjacent to the centre, metred parking is also available on Prince’s Parade (free of charge over the Winter months, subject to change).
