7 July 2024 SUP CONTINUATION SKILLS - includes Paddle Safer Award- 1 Day Course
This course is for paddlers who have completed the starter course and would like to continue improving their board control, efficient paddling technique and safety awareness. It will revise and refine those skills previously learnt and introduce some other control techniques. The course also incorporates the UK Paddle ‘Paddle Safer Award’. There is also an option to work towards Discover Award for those who wish too. (Certification fees of £6.50 extra on completion).
1 day, 10am-5pm Age: 16+ Cost: £65
This is a 1-day of skills training, see below for full details of what the day entails
Paddleboards (we supply the craft or you can bring your own)
The course takes place on The Royal Military Canal located between Hythe and Seabrook.
Minimum of 3 participants for the course to run, maximum 8 participants.
Arrive 15 minutes before the session time to get kitted out (we provide all the equipment)
There are basic changing facilities on site.
Paddlers will need to bring your own lunch and drinks

There will also be conversations throughout on; Access, Environmental considerations, Weather and Water websites, Board design etc.

Note: Our Centre is located on Prince’s Parade, and is in view of the seafront. If driving from Folkestone, turn left onto Prince’s Parade and Seapoint will be the second turning on your right, the car park is signposted. There is pay and display parking in the car park adjacent to the centre, metred parking is also available on Prince’s Parade.
